Blowup Grinch Snow Globe

One of my favorite holiday classics is How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Boris Karloff.

This year instead of waiting for it to show up on TV, we bought the DVD. We watched it with our 3 year old daughter and she loved it also….I guess that’s why it’s called a holiday classic :) .

The Who’s teach the Grinch that Christmas is not all about decorations, gifts, Who hash or the roast beast….it’s about being together and celebrating the joys of the season.

You can show off your love for the Grinch with this huge 6ft airblown inflatable Grinch snow globe

Here are a few tips we want to pass on from our experience decorating our yard with airblown inflatables:

1. We have our blowups plugged into a timer so that the unit inflates at dusk and deflates a few hours later. The blowups inflate and deflates in seconds.

2. Put your blowups and lights on separate timers so you can just have the lights on without inflating the blowups.

3. Don’t inflate your blowups when it is super windy out. Although they are anchored, a strong wind can lift them up. Last Christmas our 8 ft Santa almost took off in a big wind storm!

4. Don’t set-up your blowups the end of edge of your yard. You don’t want any Christmas humbugs slashing your blowups.

Ok, check out this video. It’s someone who loves Christmas inflatables. I can’t believe it! It’s scary once you catch the inflatables bug!

Setting up your airblown inflatable is fast and easy. When you look at the size of these blowups you would be amazed with the size of the box they come in. Because they are made of a nylon material they are easily folded to fit a small box relative to their fully inflated size. All airblown inflatables come with all the parts you will need to get your decoration up in no time.

Here’s what we found to be the best way to set up our Christmas inflatable decorations:

1. Take the blowup out of the box and lay it out in the area you want to display it.
2. Plug the fan in and inflate the blowup.
3. Move and adjust the direction of the blowup to the way you want it.
4. Insert the metal stakes through the fabric tags at the bottom of the blowup.
5. Clip the string tethers through the nylon loops attached to the side of the blowup.
6. Take the other end of the string tether and stake it to the ground to keep the blowup anchored.
7. Make sure there is nothing blocking the air intake of the fan.
8. Enjoy your Christmas inflatable decoration!

christmas inflatable yard decoration

We love decorating our yard with Christmas blowups. Last year we had about 5 Christmas airblown inflatables decorating our yard. They were about 4-6 feet tall. Everyone driving by loved them and we had comments that our yard looks great.

This year we got this giant blowup at a local liquidation store. We couldn’t believe it when we saw this Christmas inflatable advertised in the flyer for about $50. It was even more impressive when I got down to the store. I thought it was three separate pieces: the polar bear, the snow globe with the dancing penguins and the snowman….all at $50 each. To my surprise this blowup was all one unit at an amazing price. I had to get it. This is one GIANT blowup & WE LOVE IT!

We loved it even more when our neighour, Laura, drove by when we were putting it up and gave us up the thumbs up. She said that now they have to go find an “even bigger” blowup for their yard….haha! What’s a little decorating competition amongst neighbours….just a lot of fun!

Do you love decorating with airblown inflatables?
